I'm taking a couple soldiers out to cedar creek lake for the weekend. Will be trying to fish for sandbass. I know of some humps across from spillway but that's all I know of. Any info would help and be greatly appreciated. If not I understand. Thanks

Kenny 11 , I do not know first hand , but from reading here on the forum, fishing has been tough here on Cedar Creek. Go to Dennis Christians report from Monday 8/3/15. Dennis gives very detailed info on where and how he catches fish here on Cedar Creek. This post also has his detailed map of several humps that he frequently fishes. The hellbender , pet spoon combo trolling is sometimes a successful method this time of year. Hope this helps, and good luck to you and the soldiers. Tell them thank you for their service and yours as well.

I'm not an expert but have been fishing cedar creek this summer. We have been finding fish around the spillway hump and around crappie island. We have been trolling with hellpets till we find them. Then we have been using tail spinners. I have seen a lot of people slabing also. Good luck we might go Saterday evening to CC. We have been putting in at Log Cabin good ramp. If you see a blue EPIC say hi

Key Ranch Drop-off and north finger of Spillway Hump both in 13 to 16 ft of water next to deeper water produced for me this past week. These are on the map referenced above. Other spots to check in the same depth are Merimac Point, Spillway Point and the Rock Pile. Good luck!
