It's one of my favorite lakes but I've never gotten into the hybrids there like I've been told are lurking. I've gotten a couple of places I go and try to find them but just haven't been successful. Any tips on where to go and what to use? How different are they than the Sandies as far as tactics?

Your best bet is probably live shad. You can easily catch shad any time of the day at the dam by throwing your cast net directly on the bubbles made from the aerators. Once you have your shad, use your contour map and find some humps to set up on. Some of the more commonly used humps are the one right in front of the dam, the one in between the dam and the spillway, and the 2 mid lake that are straight out from the spillway. Try to find the fish with your sonar, but dont be afraid to set on a hump and wait for them to swim through.

This general information should give you a pretty good starting point and maybe someone else will chime in with a more recent pattern. My information is based on fishing bport over the last 4 summers, although I havent been there since all the rain started.
