Spring time off the points. Used to catch a lot of Stripers off the points and downrigging but I have not fished there for years. Just getting some sights in and checking thing out, this past weekend was the first time I had a change to see Buchanan since its been so low. Even with the 12ft rise in the last 6 months, it is still horribly low. Today 2015-06-16 52.9% full -20.95 below conservation pool. Knew it was real low yet, we didnt even attempt to take the boat. With that said, being in a boat, I wont chance going there right now as I would have to back the truck at least 3/4 the way into the water on a sandbar just to put the boat in. I watched a few put in and they had the tires underwater, exhaust bubbling, simply struggling getting their boat in. For me, Not worth it.
