Fishing has been pretty awesome on Whitney lately. 2013 year stockings are finally growing up and catching them just about anyway you like to fish, live bait, strolling, trolling, jigging slabs, cut bait, and on and on and on. Most of these fish are between 17 to 22" long and fat as footballs. The older fish are from 8LBS to double digit with the largest caught recently being 19.05 with a couple 14,s thrown in the mix caught on long "A's" thrown up in the trees. The sandys are spawning on the main lake and up in the creeks, Brazos and Nolan River. Bottle caps with treble hooks will catch these fish....Hire me, hire another guide, or bring your boat, just come to Lake Whitney and get you some ! Pics to come soon as I get on my computer!

Redneck... any advice on where one should start? I'll be launching on the North end heading South this weekend. Maybe I'll see ya on the water.

Thanks!
