Well I lucked out again and got today off because we got caught up at work Saturday. SO! I didn't get on the lake until almost nine because after working 60 hours this week I needed to sleep in a little bit. This morning was beautiful weather wise with almost no wind ( AT FIRST!) and I headed out to the point in front of the Lavonia south boat ramp and the fish were still there. EXCEPT!! they were BIGGER this time.I stayed on that point and fished around 50 yards each way and ended up catching fish for six hours. I would guess that I got around 70 with 50 of those being keepers. So it was a good day of fishing and probably the last on Lavon for a while if we don't get some serious rain. If the lake goes down another foot Avalon will be closed. So I am glad that I made the best of it and had a good day of fishing. I kept 21 with one 10 1/2 and the others were 11 inches all the way up to 14 1/4 inches. Most of them were at 11 1/2 to 12 1/2 inches so they were some good fish.Any way that is my report. Did I mention it was super windy? LOL.

Here is a picture of today's catch:

Good job Keith, glad you got some ti e off. Lavon may get real hard to get a boat on to fish if we don't get some rain soon. Were going to have to do a Texoma trip hopefully in October if time permits.

Thanks Busboy and Fish-n-Skate Jeff cool Yes Jeff it will probably be closed down for a while next weekend. I could launch today but several guys with big deep boats could not do it. I have a tandem trailer so I was able to get out to the end and not fall off. But next weekend it is a lost cause LOL.

We will have to go north to the big pond and hope the blue green stuff is gone LOL It was pretty nice today because not many of the ski and wake boats could launch. So I didn't have to worry about getting ROUGE WAVED !! lol Any way Jeff You and Busboy have a good week thumb

Great job Keith..Hopfully this rain will bring the lake up enough to keep Lavon fishable for a few more weeks.

Thanks Ya'll smile Todd I don't think you would have been able to launch your CC Sea pro because I barely had enough room. Maybe the rain last night will bring it up a bit. The sandies are biting good out there. How did you and Frank do at T-Wak?

Austin, Is Harbor bay ramp still good or is it too low? Lavon will probably be closed to boaters except for the ones in the marinas.
