Nice catch guys. Great seeing a trophy Rio in late November! Good job guys. Side Note: Looks like we may get a lot of RAIN this upcoming Friday and Saturday. Yet another hurricane coming out of the Pacific by Mexico will make it's way to the San Antonio area. Do you think this will have an effect on the Crappie winter bite and the trout stockings along the Guadalupe?

Thanks Curtis for the reply! I have been following the weather forecast and there is potential of having a lot of rain Friday,Saturday, and early Sunday. If it is anything like what we got last month I would not think that Parks&Wildlife would stock trout on the Guadalupe. The current would be simply to strong especially if water is being let out of Canyon Lake. Just my two cents. As for the Crappie bite any flooding will effect the bite.

This last rain we got this past weekend has really muddied up the water on Mcqueeney and east. Going to have to give it a week to clear up. The bite has also been off this week!

Me and Mike fished both Dunlap and Mcqueeney yesterday Monday and the water is clearing up. Bite was poor! Did good Tuesday on Mcqueeney. Caught some nice Redear and Bluegill. Also found some Crappie! Sunfish were in 10 to 12 feet of water holding by docks. Crappie were located by drop offs in the 15 feet of water.

Nice haul guys. Also nice Rio USMC-GY. If the winter keeps going the way it is next years Rio season should be a good one. Pretty mild winter right now.

Thanks Gitter for the reply! You are 100 percent right! If the winter stays like it has been the Rio season should be simply AWESOME! As long as there is no flooding! Seems that last years flooding changed a lot of patterns. Side Note: Not one day of freezing weather in San Antonio yet! Would like to see some freezing days just to kill off some of the vegetation!
