Since all this rain has come there was a little dry pond that is all wooded up by my house. I went there not knowing what I was going to find. Little did I know it was full of these. The picture that is up and down is probably the biggest Pumpkin seed I have ever caught. It was the size of a perch.

The strangest part is that the feeder pond is full of bluegills. Probably caught them all in less that 30 minutes. Drop shot with night-crawler pieces.

Pond fishing is hard to beat! Those are some super nice Bluegill! Good job! cheers

Side Note: Picture #1 is hard to tell an I.D. but I think it is a Bluegill. Body does not look right for a Bluegill but maybe it is just the angle. Again nice fish. Also you may have a couple of Redear. Again hard to tell. thumb

Hard to beat a mess of fried panfish. When I lived in Florida, folks would make fish cakes out of em.

I swear these aren't bluegills. I'm pretty sure they are Pumpkin Seeds. The biggest one certainly didn't match any bluegill I have ever seen.

The camera colors are messed up. All the fish are just yellow and white with black, no green or blue at all.

On closer look they might be, I don't know...

They are not pumkinseeds. Pumkinseeds are found in the far northern states. The fish usually mistaken for pumkinseeds are long eared sunfish, but your fish are bluegills.

Your learning and that is part of fishing! I make I.D. mistakes a lot on fish especially the Sunfish. Anyway nothing can take away the day you caught some very nice fish. Keep fishing and good things will happen! cheers

Side Note: Looking forward on seeing more of those nice sunnies! thumb
