After reading the thread on the redbreast/bluegill hybrid it got me thinking about this fish that I caught out of the San Marcos river a few weeks ago. What do you think ? Redear/Redbreast hybrid ?

Yes Sir Hybrid! A fatty for sure.  Side Note: Parks&Wildlife call em Hybrid Sunfish!

Hey Chuck, thanks for the confirmation on this guy. He was the biggest fish I caught that day, right at 10 inches and good shoulders.

You could have applied for both the weight and catch&release records for Hybrid Sunfish on the San Marcus River! Again nice fish! Side Note: They hit hard and fight good!
