There were no sunfish on the beds at Lynn Creek on Joe Pool. Since the full moon has come and gone I assume the next full moon June 2 will be the next likely spawn.
The water is cold and discolored and up 2 feet from the rains. The dozen or so small sunfish caught Wednesday came from 10 feet of water on the bottom. A few were on the rip rap. The bait was pieces of nightcrawlers.
The 9-10 inch channel catfish were biting vigorously on worms and various dough baits. Six small carp were caught.
. Seventy five years of chasing the elusive sunfish.

The spawn is going on here in our area. I have seen gills on beds and finding eggs in some that I have cleaned. You guys up north have had some major weather changes this year. Looks like the spawn in your area has been delayed. Just my two cents.

Ive seen some beds in creeks around DFW. Think they warm up quicker.
Mostly Longear and Greens.
Don't worry about the mule, just load the cart

This weather has the patterns all messed up! Will not surprise me if some area spawns will start in June.

I feel your pain, SH. The cold fronts and rain/snow/sleet have been none stop and back to back since March here in SE Colorado. Flooding and highs in the 50s if we're luck. We'll be lucky to get 1 spawn here, let alone 1 a month for the next few months.
