Looking at the radar Corpus and the coastal bend area are fixing to get hammered. Forecast is saying that all of this rain will be heading to south and south central Texas over the next three days! Side Note: This will really give the creeks, rivers, and lakes, a nice does of some fresh water! (The Rain Dance).

It started at 2am and is still raining. I woke up a 8am, the rain gauges where full (4.5 to 5 inches). My "pond" is almost full. Last time it was full was in 2007. We needed the rain, but not so fast.

Buddy of mine on north padre near marker 37 marina off of hwy 358 says some areas have received 10 inches. I was planning on heading down this weekend to yak it up in the laguna madre but will that much fresh water push the redfish out? Not sure if ill still head down.

Local forecasters will missed this one! I also picked up 3/10 of an inch since Sunday. Barley enough to water the lawn. Outer areas mainly the Coastal Bend and the Rio Grande Valley got most of the rain. Several areas around Houston got some good soakings. Here in South Central Texas nothing to speak of! Again the local forecasters blew this one. What's new!

Well as of now I have pour 8.5 inches out of the rain gauge. Monday night was the big rain (so far). Rain gauge overflowed (5"), then 3.5 yesterday and last night. Today less than a tenth or two.
Not counting the last two days, the rain total was just under 4" for the year.
I am on the west side of lake Corpus Christi.

We missed this latest rain event totally here in the San Antonio area! Seems the coastal areas and the Rio Grande Valley got it the most. 5 to 17" ! Side Note: I hope you did not suffer any damage cactusrat!
