Fished Mcqueeney Thursday morning and Dunlap Thursday Afternoon 5-10-18. Boat traffic was present on both lakes and did not cause any major difficulties. Found some nice Bluegill in the canals by Treasure Island. Fish were by docks. Also picked up some nice Bluegill at Ski Lodge Cove. Fly Rod and ultralight spinning gear was used. Sinking Grasshopper Chartreuse/Black got good results. Small Little George Chartreuse/Yellow got the best results on the spinning gear. Fish were found in 4 to 5 feet of water. Fished Dunlap during late afternoon/early evening. Fished upper river by the first creek. Used ultralight spinning gear. Rooster tail Chartreuse/Black got good results with a slow retrieve. Picked up good numbers of nice Bluegill and Redear. Had two Redear in the 10"range. Most fish were in the 8 to 9 inch range. Kept a few for the dinner table. Went back to Decker Friday and fished from 10am till 2pm. Bite turned off just after 11am. Caught some nice fat Bluegill in the 8 to 9 inch range hanging by reed beds in 4 to 5 feet of water. Ultralight spinning gear was used. Gulp Alive Minnows was the bait used. Only picked up three more fish from 11:30a till 2pm. All trips were fished from a kayak.

Nice report Curtis. Good job. cheers It's something when you can fish a lake one day and catch fish after fish. hooked Then the next time you fished it you had to work for them really hard. hmmm I have fished a lot of times over the years and catch fish after fish non stop and then all of a sudden the bite completely turns off! taz It's called FISHING! eeks Again nice report. thumb

I have a Pelican Challenger and the Pelican Premium. Love them both. The Premium is very sturdy and can handle rough water pretty well. Both kayaks are great to fly fish out of! Both are equipped with graphs. woot

Thanks Vogey. Between your's and mine reports we should be able to home in on those Guadalupe River sunnies. From Memorial Day till Labor Day I limit my fishing time on Dunlap,Mcqueeney,Placid, and Meadow. Those wake boats are tough to fish around. bang If I do fish those lakes it's very early in the morning and I am off of them before 10am. eeks I fish those lakes a lot, fall, winter, and spring! coolio
