Got right at 3" of RAIN from this latest system. Got a total of 10" these last three weeks. eeks

Side Note: New Braunfels got 3" and all three river lakes are muddy with lots of debris in the water. Good news this upcoming week is supposed to be dry! clap

Also the Cibolo Creek looks like a river!

With all of the past rainfall and the large amount this latest storm put out the runoff is going to be a "KILLER"! eeks Got a little under 4" in the gauge. nuts Friend of mine said that Shaffer Road at Crescent Bend where the Cibolo creek goes across is closed. police The Cibolo is a mess right now. I can only imagine what the other water bodies look like. taz

Those creeks will get flushed out for sure!
Should make for some new pools as those gravel bars are rearanged and shifted around by the flood waters.
I always wonder where do those fish go, and how many are new residents after the flood waters receed?

Just one more cast!

2 Summers from now should be some awesome fishing.

All the spawn will have plenty of places to hide and get bigger

Don't worry about the mule, just load the cart

Lake Somerville exceeded it maximum level. They haven't been able to open the gates due to the Brazos being too high. It is raining again tonight. There is no place for the water to go. Glad to see a minimal chance of rain this week. Hope that holds true.

I wonder how it affect the spawn that should be going on right now? The peak of the sunfish spawn is usually around Memorial day.

Me too. I was at the Fly Fishing Expo today and one of the presenters / guides said they will go to the bottom or areas of the creek where they can expend as little energy as possible. They will just hold tight for a period of time. But when they wake up it will be on!!!!!

It will effect the spawn in a very big way on both the creeks and rivers. Hate to say but the spring spawn could be easily a "wash out". nuts Hopefully a full summer spawn in late July will be in order. coolio Also there will a pretty good chance of a fall spawn in early October. hmmm
