Just wanted to share.... I have a 20 year old daughter that lives 1100 miles away, she is carless. The tow vehicle for my boat has been my 12 year old trusty F-150. My wife, a stay at home was driving a Volkswagon Routon minivan. I own the F-150 outright, and my daily driver is a Mazda 3 (I got a long commute, stfu). My daughter works 2nd and 3rd shift at Dennys and has been riding her bicycle at all hours of the night commuting to and from work. I decided that she had to have a car. Being that I own the F-150 outright, and against good judgement, I decided to sell her my F-150 on payments for way less than it is worth at way less than book value. This put me in a conundrum, how the hell am I going to drag the ol skiff to the lake to do some quality fishing? Well, traded the wife's grocery getter for a Hemi Durango, thats how. I can't tell yall enough how impressed I am on this things ability to drag my 22.5 FT 3900LB fish and ski deck boat, its almost like you do not even notice it is there! Huge upgrade from my 4.8L F150. Now lets just hope the kid pays her end of the bargain so I dont have to go breaking kneecaps. Long story short, if you need to get a vehicle that can pull your boat that is not a pickup, Dodge Durango, accept no substitute! Not the kid that got sold the car, but one that loves to fish off my boat!

I like the new Durangos. Really nice looking and well equipped vehicles.
My mom had a mid-90s model growing up, and you could almost watch the fuel gauge drop on long trips. Even though it was 2WD, we regularly got 10-12 mpg unloaded. I hope the new models do better than that.

Uncle has had 2 of the new model Durangos. Both with the v-6. They get him about 20 mpg and all he does with it is comute, no towing or hauling. First one was totaled and he replaced it with the same.
From everything I hear on them buy it if you plan to keep it, because resale value sucks very much bad.

I have a 2014 Durango with the V6 and tow a 19 foot Skeeter with it. I don't do any long distance towing, but the v6 has plenty of power and I have no complaints. On trips I easily get 23 MPG but less if towing. I bought it new in October 2013 and have not had one single problem with it. They are great SUVs that are overlooked.
