I have a 5 pin trailer connector hooked up to my 2014 f150 with the camera and back up assist sensors. My truck doesn't recognize my trailer and the sensors beep when backing up. Any fixes to this?

Turn it off when you put it in reverse

Good advice. But not really a fix.

Mine does the same thing. I didn't know there was a way to "fix" it. I just turn it off when backing a trailer. It takes 1 second.

The backup sensors does not have a magic trailer recognition device, that is recognized between the backup camera and the device sitting between the steering wheel and the back of the drivers seat. The backup sensors can't tell the difference between a steel post, trailer or a two year old child.

It will automatically turn off when it is hooked to a trailer with electric trailer brakes. My surge brakes hooked to the adapter will not turn it off. But our 16ft trailer with electric brakes turns it off.

That's why the option to turn it off pops up every time you put the truck in reverse. It takes me less that a second to do it...not that hard or annoying.
