Hey Everybody,
I just purchased a 2010 Ranger Z520 on a 2010 Ranger Trailer. I am pulling it with a 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 4x4. I am having a problem with the trailer bucking or bouncing like there is not enough tongue weight. The trailer winch is all the way forward, I pull the boat all the way on to the trailer and snug the boat eyelet to the rubber roller, everything is tight, I had a hitch with 3 1/4" drop and just replaced it with a 5 1/4" drop and it's still bucking. Any suggestions?

Move boat gear forward. Add hitch stabilizer if all else fails. Try towing it in 4wd, I've stopped a wig wagging trailer several times using 4wd. Put the trailer spare on the tongue. And lowering the hitch won't increase tongue weight.

Thanks for input. It does not wag, it trailers straight up to 75 mph, it bucks or pivots on dips, bumps bridge expansion joints, etc, more than usual. All gear and tackle is already up front. I'll look into trailer stabilizer.
I have owned a Mastercraft Ski boat in the past and it didn't do this. Is this just how Bass Boats trailer?
Thanks

Bassboat is just heavier. Guess you could get some load leveler shocks or airbags on the truck if it bothers you.

My bassboat is actually lighter than my Mastercraft by about 1500lbs which helped it tow better in my opinion. I weighed the boat today, it weighs 4440lbs full of gas, truck weighed 5940lbs with trailer attached, 5760lbs
truck only which gives me a tongue weight of 180lbs. I need roughly 270 additional pounds. Not a big fan of adding weight or moving stuff to the front of the boat. As stated it's already as far forward as possible as on the trailer with stock tongue winch. I assume since all the batteries (4), fuel tanks, engine, hydraulic Jack plate and power poles etc are on the back of the boat it naturally rides tail heavy on the trailer. I can't believe no one else experiences this with their Bass Boat, or maybe they do and live with it or just don't know how a proper boat setup should trailer.
I will post my solution when I come up with something.
Thanks for input from all.

Can you post a pic of the boat on the trailer? I'm curious where the axle placement is.

In this pic I have a 3 1/4" drop hitch, I have added a 5 1/4" since and that helped a little.

@TCK73, why do you ask that? Can I move the axles? I have read elsewhere some are adjustable. I looked at mine and they look welded. It's a 2010 Ranger Original trailer.

I just was wondering if something had been moved or something. It looks normal, about like my previous boat. With the setback on the engine and whatever else you have in the back, it must just have a little too much weight behind the axle. I have had several bass boats over the years and never this problem.

Very nice rig! Have you asked a factory rep about the tralering issues yet?

Thanks for looking TCK, thanks Cast. I really want it to trailer as nice as it looks! Don't want to add a stabilizer when the simple solution is moving the boat forward on the trailer or adding weight if I have to.

need more rubber on your truck wheels. ghetto rims are terrible for towing.
