Dear Forum members,
I am a visitor to your country for a few weeks and would like to know where is a decent place to go fish for carp in the Energy Corridor area. Seems like corn is a simple enough way to catch them, that or a bread dough ball. Have heard about snakes over here, is that an issue walking around in the long grass that seems to be around a few of the bayous I've seen so far? Not too worried about catching big carp (though would be nice), would be happy catching carp of any size really.

thanks in advance for any pointers or locations.
Steve

Fishing gives you time to think........and a reason not to.

I can't help you on locations, but I will advise you to be careful about snakes. They are plentiful around water. Most of the bayous with accessible areas should hold carp. Good Luck..

Hi Steve
By "energy corridor" are you meaning west I-10 near Hwy 6?

There are many small bayous as well as larger ones that have a variety of commons, grassers up to about 10-12 lbs...
PM me and I'd be happy to tell you some that I used to frequent.
