For the past month now I have been stalking down what looks to be at least a 15 pound koi fish in the Blanco River. This dude looks huge, however I can't seem to catch it. It's easy to spot due to its bright orange color and every time I spot it I throw out my corn about 2-3 feet under my bobber since it's always close to surface and it never works. I has also tried putting it on the bottom but it just gets burried in the grass.. I have yet to catch any sort of Carp and curious as to why. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well, if you really want to hunt this "specimen", then I would suggest a day or 2 of just sight fishing, making notes where you see the fish, etc, etc. Then chum a bit in the areas the fish was sighted to increase the odds of the fish staying in the area. Fishing for a specific fish requires much more stealthy tactics. Perhaps try floating baits such as bread fly, etc. If possible (since the bottom is too grassy, etc) put out several rods at varying depths from the surface down to about 1ft from the bottom. The key thing is to have these rods out before the fish comes into the area, or at the least put the rods out carefully without spooking the fish when you cast.
