Just redicovered carp at age 73. set out a couple of rods when I am working on my yard,dock, or boat at C.C.
Had a lot of fun this summer.water2 to7 ft. deep.Will these carp pull out to deep water as the temp drops.

They will pull out to 10ft plus waters from my experience. May be different in other lakes. I have caught them in shallow water in the dead of winter from some park ponds.

Thanks Jesse.Iknow they eat year round ,as the water cools do they move to deeper water.Cedar Creek is down about3ft. and dropping 4 to 6 inches a day.Last night no carp 3 turtles and a 5 to 6 l.b.blue cat on deer corn.Thank"s

i usually fish a lake with shallow water and there really isnt much for them to migrate . they seem to bite on single pieces of corn and smaller method balls . if you chum too much they will fill up and go do what ever they do in their world ... not real sure what they do in big bodies of water . i usually fish small waters in the winter. but if the water is shallow where you fish im sure they will bite afternoons when the sun is out good

If they are used to finding food there they will come even in winter. Part of seasonal moves is following a food supply. By baiting the same spot over and over you change some of that behavior. They will not eat as much in winter as they are cold blooded, so don't bait as much when you want to fish. Catfish same, much of piling in deep water is following food. Some stay shallow all year.
