Had a good day fishing the trinity river after the rains fought through a tons of mud and found a good bite, ended up with one over 6 foot and 3 over 5 foot and had a bait get thrown on a bigger fish at the boat. I put near 200 hours on the water since my last gar over 7 foot. The fish i lost ate a huge carps head..and my entire leader, slicing through my 130# braid with ease. Nothing to do but keep throwing out baits and keep putting in the time on the water currently fishing pretty much every other day and the bite has been good. How long do you think it takes before a lost fish will bite again or will they good video anyday outside is a great day she came and looked at my baits 6 hours after i lost her, she surfaced 25 feet from me and went down and looked at my baits. they only get smarter after you "offend" them i dont think she actually felt me set the hook, but she knows somethings up. giving her a week or coming back in the kayak might be the way to go about it she might not be willing to excuse the boats presence a second time. most likely she is off to the next good spot on the river
