Does anyone fish for carp on Grapevine? I've seen them jumping the last couple times I've been out fishing for sandbass and thought I might give them a go. Any tips/insight are appreciated.

I catch good numbers there but not many big ones. Lots of buffalo there and they aren't too picky, any standard rig and standard bait seems to work. I'm not a real good carp fisherman and I can catch them.

Are there any particular areas of the lake that seem to have more abundant numbers of fish?

I've only fished a couple of the parks but caught fish both places.

Try the area around Silver Lake marina or Oak Grove park.

If the wind is blowing out of the north, try the day use area at Murrell Park in Flower Mound. There are nice sized cliffs that block the wind. I do pretty well out there for buffalo.
