what kind of fish is this? and by the looks, can anyone guess a weight?

that is a smallmouth Buffalo. Hard to be accurate with that angle, but id guess the weight is between 20-25lbs

no clue but they sell them at the meat market down the road roflmao

my daughter caught it on a piece of shrimp and we gave it away to a boater that helped us bring on the bank. i just got curious if they were edible and maybe how they tasted.

It is definetly a Buffalo! A Very Very edible and great tasting fish.The Rib section is Excellent but the tail section is very very boney.Lots of small bones
