Well, it was flipping HOT, I had a blast getting back out on Fork in competition like the old days. I'm really blessed to have a friend like Mike Picou, PQ for short. The fishing was tuffer than expected, but isn't it always' The nice little green pickles for weigh in disappeared for the most part. The big fish were biting, that helped ease the pain some.. The points that had been covered up with unders were void, so we concentrated on fishing the PVC/Plastic brush piles I've got. There were nice fish on them, mostly big slots, we did cull 3 times... For what that was worth..  23" super fat, thick fish, thought here we go when she pulled drag 3 times, my 5th cast.  PQ, hooked up on a 23.5 incher, when I netted her I just knew she would go over... Not...  During our travels from spot to spot in our search, I picked up a hitch hiker, a big Dragon Fly, some call them Skeeter Hawks. This one seemed to like the Skeeter on my hat...  Im so sore it's not funny, today at 1:15 I go in for some maintenance chemo. Gonna feel bad for a few weeks, but, thats ok; I enjoyed myself and seeing all our old friends that fish the trail, it's been 7 years for both of us.. Media Bass is a wonderful trail to fish, David and Brenda Haas do a great job..  Oh yeah, we finished terrible, 24th I think out of 48...
