Back at it again!
Well after having to cancel seven trips in a roll due to this crazy wind. I was was super excited to get back on the water again. We sure have had some crazy weather and fronts this spring. For myself I’m ready for summer time.
Wednesday was lake Palestine with Loren and wife Cindy from the DFW Area. After waking up Wednesday morning with 20 mph winds I almost called to cancel the trip. But the forecast was calling for lighter winds throughout the day so we went for it. Turned out to be a Beautiful day and a blessed trip. This couple is retired and take a couple guide trips a year and wanted to get on some Crappie. I enjoyed sharing the boat with theses guys, not to mention great fellowship.Thank you guys for fishing with me. They ended the day with 38 nice slabs.
Fish caught on Bonehead Tackle on stump bugs in colors Palastine special and Black neon. All on brush piles.
These crappie that are on brush are stubborn there are numbers of fish on the piles only pick one or two off a pile and move on. The winds blowing from a different direction every day and the fronts have them messed up. The shallow water bite is a little more aggressive. This is the last wave of fish to Spawn in couple of weeks it will be pretty much over with thankfully. We just need some consistent weather and the fishing will be on fire.
If you’re looking to get on some big east Texas crappie please give me a call.
