I have not been on the water for several months. I'm off tomorrow (Thursday & Friday) and plan to launch from Buck Creek (Ray Roberts).

Can anyone pass along some crappy suggestions ?

What pattern are the Crappy on now ?

What water depths ?

What lure depths ?

Has the water temp cooled off to where the bite doesn't start until later (than 7:00 am launch)

We were bass fishing around and north of big bass point last Friday and saw several crappie fisherman hitting the trees around the creek channel. None were there long however, and by the time we left none of the boats were there. water temps ranged from 71-74. good luck!!

Lots of patterns working on Ray Roberts right now. Timber in 10-20ft, bridges in the same depth and brush in the 15-30 ft range should all have fish on them. I would start about 10-15 ft down on everything and work my way down till I get bit. I personally never get on the water that early. I want the sun up to push the fish where I am looking.

We caught 10 this morning with three keepers. Real slow for us. Might try Pecan tomorrow.

Fished Sunday out there, caught 25-30ish with 5 keepers big enough to not measure. We were fishing brush piles in 26-30ft. Caught them all about 20 feet down over the tops of the piles, needed minnows to get bit. Caught a few on jigs, but 5-1 easy minnows outfished my jig

There are no fish in sonic pond EDIT: Except 1 20lb catfish

Fishing the west side tomorrow. I prefer Pecan anyway and it isn't as busy. Defeated by Buck again.

How did you do skychief12?

Found 15 in Pecan. Cleaned 6.

Big fish of the day...
