Lake Palestine

Neil, (granddaughter) Megan and Joseph booked a trip on Lake Palestine

The bite was a little slow but still had a great time listening to Megan's jokes. She even pulled her tooth! We were all thoroughly entertained for the day.

Ended the day with 28 crappie!

All fish caught 14-20' on brush.

Only thing i can tell you is stay on the move!!!! the water temp is anywhere between 88-90 degrees.

I have some openings this week. If anyone is interested give me a call.

Tuesday and Wednesday was Tom and his wife Leslie. Tom just bought a brand new z19 bass boat. We set up all his Lowrance graphs and dialed them in on Tuesday and today we fished.

The bite today was a little different and extremely light. To get a bite we would pull up beside a brush pile, drop our rods on top of the brush and positioned our jig about a foot on top of the brush. Then bump the trolling motor slowly over the brush then we would drift back, then repeated it. The fish wanted the bait moving slowly today.

Bait used today was BoneHead Tackle Stump Bugs | Lemon Lime

I would highly recommend using some kind of scent this time of year.

I always enjoy fishing with this couple. Great personalities and love to fish!

Ended the day with 44 crappie!

For your next crappie adventure ,give me a call!

Mark

Good job Mark. Catching a fish that does not really want to bite adds another degree of difficulty to our jobs this time of the year for sure.

Good job Mark. Pepop and I went out for a couple hours this morning. Pretty decent bite in a couple places. I think we had about 20 keepers. His new firetiger bait was the best color for us.

I'm glad to know it was the bite being off. Took a couple of friends out for a while and was disappointed with only 21 keepers. One of the guys hadn't crappie fished in three years. He has been stationed in Japan and was a little rusty on the hook set at first. He swung two of the better fish up and hit the side of the boat and then sent them on the other side into the water and away they went. I told him one of the fish was going wee, wee, wee, as he flew through the air.
