thoughts on which you prefer? I know there is a major cost difference so im not asking "for the value which is better," im asking if they cost the exact same, which would you fish with and why?

both are nice, I prefer the G-rod if you can get one
i fish with G-rod for jigging, its got great balance, Pro angler is also good too though, its just a preference thing, to me balance is important, and i don't like a rod that is extremely limber

If you want the best rod on the market, built with the most advanced technology on the market, there is no other choice but G-Rods. I've fished with the 6, 7, 8 and 10'6" versions, each one surpassing my expectations. A major plus is that this is a Texas based company who's owner is a very, VERY passionate fisherman and rod smith.
For the price, Pro Angler is tough to beat. Their customer service and quality of rod are both great, and you'll be hard pressed to see anything poorly written about their rods. I'm a stickler for having the best though, and that's why I fish with a G-Rod.

Hands down - G Rods. I use 7' medium light spinning rods.Glad they installed a hook keeper on the newer models.
And their new bass rods are outstanding.

I wish I could speak intelligently about rods as far as actions go. What I can tell you is that the g-rod has dramatically improved my hookup rate. I laymans terms, the time between my detection of the bite and the rod generating enough pressure to set the hook is much shorter. I picked up another rod a few days ago by accident and thought it couldn't be that bad so I tried to fish with it for that stop. I immediately put it back. The sensitivity and hookset were that obvious. Hope this helps.

As Laner said the G-Rods are well built, but so is the ProAngler. I'd still fish the ProAngler. The G-Rod is a little stiffer and lighter; but that light material of the blank is also more susceptible to being damaged by bumping the rod against objects. The PA will take abuse and won't break easily.

I've heard tons of reviews about G-Rods but never had one in my hand. I have fished ProAngler and they are great rods. I am like Lane and have always liked the best equipment and if my ProAnglers or St Croix's ever fail I will try a G-Rod and an ACC. They haven't broken in 9 years though.

Never used a G rod but the Pro anglers are pretty good. I know one theing they are tough. I hooked a big striper in a boat slip and bent that thing double trying to keep him from tangling me up. Pulled so hard the jig hook broke. Those old Wally marshal rods I used to use would never have taken that.
John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

I have 5 pro anglers and one g rod. The g is a good rod, I don't prefer it over the PA . Good luck.

I carry G-rods, Boneheads and PA's in the boat. They are all excellent rods but if I had to pick a favorite it would be the Boneheads. I know, it wasn't on the list but maybe it should be? You can't go wrong with any of them.

Used both and still go back to my ProAnglers for their sensitivity and backbone. One thing that is a game changer is If you break a G Rod you are out a lot of money. With a Pro Angler, you can buy just the Secound half if you need it and it runs you only 20 bucks if you break it. For me, pretty much a no brainer. I would be way more upset to see a Pro Angler get stolen than a G Rod, you get so hooked on using a ProAngler.

The moment that I hooked my first fish on a G-Rod I knew that I had missed thousands of fish over the years, and needed one! Sensitivity is off the charts with these rods! Like Laner said, Glenn Miller ( the inventor ) is a very passionate fisherman and rod smith. They are engineered very different from all the others. There are good graphite rods out there that are cheaper, but they are all the same blank, just packaged differently. The G-Rod is definitely in a class all by itself. I agree with most in saying that I want the best also, and these rods deliver!

Both are great rods and will sling toads in the boat fa sho! G-Rods: High end rod, light with great sensitivity, back bone outta this world but seems like when you catch a fish the only part that bends on the rod is the tip! Like the first 3-4 eyelets or so! Btw, special tip makes your slab go airborne when swinging em in the boat Pro Angler: Low priced rod, light weight with great sensitivity, nice back bone! Awesome overall feel and will bring in whatever is on the end of your line! Customer service is great and rods comes like the next day Replacement tip is super cheap and all together its a dayum good rod!
Katchin krappie...doin surgeries(filleting)...and givin hott grease baths until krunchy and golden brown is what it's all about!!!

There are some GREAT RODS out there and I do mean GREAT! but if you purchase a Rod from BP, and break it, they will replace it with another one & if they no longer carry it they will give you an upgrade. FREE!It happened to me once on a rod I had purchased a year before it broke.ACC Crappie Stix,G-Rods,Bone Heads ,Tica`s,Sam H`s etc. they all have their advocates!Every angler has their own sense of sensations when it comes to what they feel at the other end of the rod. We can`t all like the same thing and we are not going to. I`m a PA man myself so what ever works for you buy accordingly. PLZzz
