Fishing with no wind is tough some time. Was tough yesterday. We fished for crappie in the pontoon from 7-noon. The water temp was 82 degrees. We fished several brushpiles. We must have caught a jillion small crappie and bass. There were five of us in the boat. Tony caught two bass over 5 pounds on one pile. Most of the crappie were from 12-16 ft on minnows and jigs. Just throw anything. We didn't catch any real big crappie but did manage 26 nice keepers.
At noon, we decided to drift for a few blue cat to help fill the cooler. But with no wind, hard to do. I put the XI5 in continuous mode and pulled the big pontoon up the lake real good. We caught a few nice blue cat doing this. Would have been easier to have a breeze and more comfortable. But that's fishing. Was a good day and we stayed busy!
