After wanting to fish Grenada lake for the last couple years, I have finally put it in motion. I was watching some you tube videos (Krappie Kings) and Karl Kalonka was fishing with a guide by the name of John Harrison and I called and set it up. We are set for the first weekend in September. I cant hardly wait. For anyone who has ever been, what hotel do you guys recommend?

I stayed at Holiday inn express and it is nice and stayed this week at Hampton across the street. Both nice. Breakfast at Hamptons always better than HIE. Don't know about the fishing as I have a customer over in Water Valley. There is a sign in Water about 5lb crappie record. Give us a report and I may have to book an extra day there next time I am at the customer.

Thanks shadboy,

I will look at the Hampton. I'm a big fan of a good breakfast

Way to go. I visit a Mississippi site on occasion and John seems to be a stand up guy who knows those lakes. My uncle had a cabin near the Water Valley boat ramp and I have been by that sign in Water Valley a bunch of times. I believe it says home of the world record crappie caught by Fred Bright in the 50's. I know it was over five pounds.
Good luck in Sept
