Have started a non-profit named Crappie Fishing For Veterans that is in a network of outdoors men and women that are dedicated to returning our Veterans back to the outdoors. My part of this is taking our Veterans crappie fishing. This inaugural season I am out of Jackson Hill Marina on Sam Rayburn but I hope to bring this service to all our Texas Lakes. Our Veterans have and are returning from fighting this country's battles with all sorts of wounds, some you can see and some you can't, that makes it difficult to return to the outdoors that they love. We are part of the outdoor freedom network and I am looking for Texans that want to give back to our country's best and bravest. Over the 4th of July weekend we will be taking disabled Veterans on a 108 mile adventure on the Trinity River from Lake Livingston dam to I10 over 3 days. We are setting up for 50 Veterans and their caregivers and for this we need all the boats we can find and volunteers to help. I will be at Jackson Hill Marina this weekend for the Children of Fallen Heroes Bass Tournament taking some volunteers and Veterans crappie fishing so if you like stop in to say hello and let us know you would like to help. If I am not there you can talk to Terry Sympson as they are doing the tournament. To add you vessel to the flotilla call/text Ben Mallon at 936-635-2096. If you are a Veteran that would like to get out on Sam Rayburn and terrorize some crappie I have a Facebook page Crappie Fishing For Veterans, disabled Veterans have 1st priority, with a book now button or you can contact Terry Sympson at Jackson Hill Marina at 936-872-9266. I will be posting pics of our trips here and on my fb page. If you would like to help take some Veterans crappie fishing I am starting a contact list that I will turn to if we get overwhelmed with request and you can post it to our fb page or if you want to remain confidential then message me or contact Terry. Thank you. It is all about putting a smile on their face again. You will get more out of it than they will I assure you.

thanks for what your doing !!!! flag thumb

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !
