Your thoughts on the angle like on a fle-fly(45 ?) as compared to a conventional 90 that I see on most jigs.

The only thing it does drop the tail of the jig down more than the 90 hooks. If you can get the fle-fly hooks with the lead out front it would be o k but may mess up the lower pull of the 45 hook. I have tried this with bigger hooks for dock shooting using 30,35,45, and the 60 degrees but never did find one that the jig tail would stay up to look real.
