No they spawned in deeper water this year. The theory I heard was went back to last years spawning area which now of course is deeper than they were in previous years. Water had just started to clear until yesterday will have to see what happens after the storm upriver.

I went out yesterday in a kayak and caught several decent crappie (and several black bass) on jigs fishing in water that was 2-4 feet deep and had the jig 18" below the water. I did best on a white jig. I went in over at rough creek park and went under the bridge behind stumpys into that little area. I was fishing around the bank of a little island area in brush. Another guy came by and said he had done pretty well on minnows not far from there fishing in the same depth water. They weren't biting like crazy like it was the spawn but in 2 hours got about 6 crappie and 6 bass on the jigs.
