And yet still a little THUNDER! roflmao

Belinda & I got on the water around noon or so....saw Seth headed in for lunch as we headed out

Stopped at a BP in 24 fow, dropped a Mr. Fry in Purple Passion right to the bottom in the middle of the BP, picked it up a crank off the bottom,
swung my seat around to give Belinda the details on what was below us and almost had my rod ripped from my hands eeks
With the explosive hard bite and drag slippage when I gathered my senses, (what little I have left),set the hook, I was sure I had a large catfish, sandie or ditch pickle,
but when I saw color & realized the jig was buried, I sent a very nice slab flying thru the air in an arch to the bottom of the boat banana

We caught some good keeper fish there and a couple of small bass, then Belinda set the hook and I heard her drag strain a bit cheers

We did a lot of searching, dinks here, keepers there, nada elsewhere. Found a couple of new spots holding quality fish.
It was just an AWESOME day!
Water temp averaged 72.4, we caught fish in 20-40 fow
Could hear a loon calling in the distance most of the time thumb
If it looked like it needed to be measured, it got to swim away to fight another day

We ended up with 30 in the box hooked

All fish were caught on the new Purple Passion on pink jig heads, I was dropping a Mr. Fry & Belinda a Tadpole

Forecast is rain all day and I am stuck with having to attend a meeting. WTF is wrong with people?

Guess some have never felt the THUNDER and don't get it.

You should let Belinda drive the boat, that way you will know how she feels having to use a 16 foot pole to reach the sweet spot! Ha! Nice fish.

Dang it Todd, I have a big ten point birdogging a doe that I need to get into bow range. Now I see those slabs and will be pushing it to get that deer shot.
