Wanting to take my kayak out should I work the trees or the dam minnows or jigs

WENT SAT JUST AFTERNOON AND PUT IN AT MUSTANG, WORKED THE TREES BY THE CHANNEL AND THE OTHER SIDE BY THE CLOSED PARK, MINNOWS AND JIGS, WAS SLOW BUT CAUGHT 4 NICE KEEPERS AND SOME UNDERS

I went Tuesday morning and caught 7 big ones, all over 12 inches. They were spread out in 16 to 18 FOW about 14 feet down. I was using jigs with tube bodies and Mr Crappie, crappie thunder.
