Go to crappie dot com, look under the Oklahoma state section and you'll find a lot of info from guys that fish 10killer regularly. I haven't checked it out lately. It is a beautiful lake, fed mostly by the Illinois River.

Xkiller is my home lake. Currently they have a case of lock jaw. Minnows will barely buy you a bite.
Lake has been 20-30' over normal pool all spring/summer with the big rains. Everytime they would draw it down a little we would get another big rain.
I have fished this lake for a long time, I can honestly say it has the most shad this year that I have ever seen in 40+ years of fishing it. I think with all the high water the shad have pulled off several really good spawns, and then had protective cover to give the fry a chance.
Xkiller is really clear, currently on the lower half of the lake you can see 16' deep. Has a healthy mix of White/Black Crappie.

If your friend would like to call, send me a pm and I'll get you a phone #.

My dad lives in Tahlequah and tries to fish that lake. Fishing there is brutal due to the clear water. Better get some small diameter fluorocarbon line. Without that it will get real tough.
