Saturday Richard James aka my best bud and I decided we were fishing regardless of the flooding. We headed out right in front of the storm. Had a plan to fish and hour then have breakfast while it blew threw. We caught 10 or so the first hour then had an amazing country breakfast while the bottom fell out of the sky.

After an hour and a half of straight down pour we were able to get back on the lake to fish a lite drizzle managing another 20 fish. The lake had a serious thermocline that had set in. See pic

Then we went to Richie's granddaughters birthday because she lived close and it was definetly part of the plan. She was adorable by the way!

Last but not least we went to Todd Box's place for an awesome crawfish boil. The food and company was second to none. Thanks again Todd and Belinda Box! We had a blast and our plan came together wonderfully Richie!










After Saturdays trip we decided to go to Lake Fork Sunday and found some nice ones using BoneHead Tackle 1/4 oz weedless jig heads and silver shad Slim Sticks. 25' of water and most fish were caught 15' down.

We made a pit stop to buy ice at Fisherman's One Stop which is one our newest suppliers of BoneHead Tackle. They have a wonderful selection of proven to catch North Texas baits and the people there are great folks!

Sounds like the "5 F's" to me Tommy; Fun Fishin w/ Friends then Family & Food. It don't get any better! Beautiful granddaughter Richie! Nice Slabs guys!
