Dang! It was a rough one around here also. All the rabbits got washed out of their holes for sure.

It's a mess down here in the San Antonio area. I got 5 inches of rain in the gauge at my house. Canyon lake needles to say is full. Medina Lake rose over 25 feet but it was almost dry. Still a long ways to getting back to normal for that lake but any amount helps. The Guadalupe River is well over it's banks also and all of the river lakes are going to take time to be fishable. Anyway you all stay safe out there. eeks

Side Note. IH 35 in San Marcus is closed all four lanes at FM 123. The Blanco River is flowing over the freeway. nuts

Contrary to popular belief, Belton Bill, I'm still kicking north of the very badly flooded Red River! But, it looks like I'll either have to wade or buy that float I've been wanting since all ramps are closed all over this part of the Chickasaw Nation!

My son and I drove over to the Texoma dam on Friday. It was clear water would be going over the spillway in a matter of hours and it did as you reported, early Sunday morning. I drove across the Red River bridge over I-35 yesterday afteroon. It is WAY out of it's banks and flowing very fast. Current data shows almost 2' over the spillway now. Also heard inflow is almost 200,000 fps (yep, that is feet per second). Don't know how much they are releasing at the moment. So, Texoma is basically shut down.

Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it! (And then some!!)

PS: my journal shows we have had 21" of rain since May 6th. Forecast calls for more today and everyday this week. It ain't over yet!

I'M SOONER BORN, SOONER BRED AND WHEN I DIE I'LL BE SOONER DEAD!
Chickasaw proud.
