Ran up Spring Creek again last night to have a look and with the rising water level I wasn't real sure what Id run into but struck out again. Lots and lots of carp in what seems to be a pretty intense turf war back there though. Also saw a good number of gar. Is this possibly the remnants of their disturbed initial spawn attempt? Maybe the crappie will move in once they finish up? Spoke with a couple old timers at the dock before I set out and they said they are marking plenty on their graphs but they all seem to have lock jaw. I personally cant say I've even marked any but there were a lot more fish showing up on the graph last night as I made my way around the spring creek bridge and adjoining timber. Just not really sure where to begin looking for them.

What is the water temp?

My graph was reading 68-70 degrees right around the bridge in around 14 fow. That's using the transducer that came with the lowrance hds gen 3 lss bundle so not sure how accurate it is.

I fished the main lake area today. Water temp was 64 - 66. Marked fish on most COE brush piles, but they had lock jaw. Carp were having hey day near shorelines in coves.

there'd be a shortage of fishing poles

I think I may need to do some tuning too my graph maybe get some professional assistance somehow because I cruise around constantly finding brush piles but I can't seem to pick up any fish on brush. I've yet to pull a fish out/off of one after fishing at least 4 days of each week the past two months lol. Def get that feeling I'm doing something wrong

Spring creek crappie good luck brother it's def different back there after this latest rain feel bad for the guys that were fishing from the banks back there because it's all inundated with water now. I've had the best luck back there as of late with a lil crappie magnet jig white body with a clear/bluish flake tale on it. May give that a go but idk if any crappie in its right mind would be back there with all the carp and gar

Where is Spring Creek? Is that on the west side of the lake?

Me and my boy will go after those carp and gar with my bow!!!! I call it Crappie fending. My son calls it fun.

Personally, I've noticed that the crappie move in, and then move out when the gar move in. Move back in when the gar head back out. But I usually fish the east side of the lake.
