Wife and I got on the lake this morning hoping to locate a few.
Tried a few places on the main lake without much luck.
Went up into the south and found pockets of them along one bank in 1 to 4 FOW.
What I mean by pockets is, you may catch 5 -8 then nothing for about 5 boat lengths up river, then catch another 5-8.
We also did really good on one brushpile in 12 FOW.
Not sure how many we caught but 19 made the trip home with us.
Wife managed to get 4 bass in the boat and I got 1 catfish
We talked to quite a few guys using minnows and they were having no luck, so it seems jigs out fished minnows.
All our fish were caught on 1/8 oz feathered jigs tipped with crappie nibbles.
Color of jig didn't matter cause they hit any color you put in their face.
We just dropped the jig to the bottom and lifted it slightly off the bottom and just slowly moved it around.
Water temps in the river was 68-69 degrees
All the females we brought home still had eggs. Some were really mushy while others were not.
