I just recently moved close to the lake and looking for some places around the lake to fish for Crappie and Catfish. My two little girls are ready to catch some catfish and perch (if anyone knows some "hotspots" for them).

I always saw people catch lots of crappie and sand bass in the creek but I don't think I would eat anything out of there lol. Get off on Doran Cir off of northwest hwy and keep left - you will see a parking lot by Lawther drive. Park there and walk across the street to the creek. I heard it's not the safest place at night but I never had any problems. Good luck!

I drove by the lake a couple of days ago and saw a lot of cattails, would think that the crappie would be all over it, but saw no one really fishing around them. Just looking for pointers.
Thanks!
I think you are talking about flag pole hill parking area, Ill check it out. thanks!
