Have done lots of bass fishing out there, but have never tried the crappie. I have seen guys catch crappie, so they are in there. I have no clue where they are at right now, but you might try Sanchez creek - and FYI, there is a large submerged tree at the mouth of that creek that might be worth putting a jig or minnow on. Of course it has flooded since I last graphed that tree so it may not be there anymore?

I have caught some very nice crappie here, but I had access to a boat. I have never heard of Sanchez Creek though. Location? Thanks

I haven't been up around Tin top this year but I know the crappie in the main lake are very difficult to pattern and have caught very few lately.

Sanchez is about 1.5 miles upriver from the Tin Top boat ramp. I don't think you can get there without a boat though. If you are fishing from the bank, you might try the dock directly across from the tin top ramp. I have seen fishermen catch crappie off that dock in the past and I think it was this time of year. But like I said, i haven't been to the river in quite a long time so not sure what is going on there.

I dont think the TinTop ramp is open. I went to the creek up by it and there was about a foot of water.

You do not have to park across the street from the Hilton. That parking lot is owned by the city. I fish Granbury pretty regular and I just park my truck and trailor longways infront of the beach.
