I'm sitting at home after my morning trip on Wednesday when I get this text message from Chuck: "Would you believed we just limited out with a 100 crappie?!" My first reaction was to look at the clock. They started at noon, and it is now 4:52. I replied back: "Well, the fishing is good, and you're arguably the best in the state. So yes, I guess you could say that I can believe it." I have learned most of my crappie fishing knowledge from one of the best in the business, and I feel very honored to be included on such a strong team of fishermen. Congratulations Mr Rollins, 100 crappie on a half day trip is quite an impressive feat. You're a good fishermen and a great boss! 100 crappie ladies and gentlemen.   Oh, and just to seal the deal, Chuck went ahead and caught a flat head yesterday that scared the lake record... 62 pounder on 6lb test.

Lane, what' more impressive is that Chuck was maybe the only one on his boat that had ever fished for crappie before! And I know he spends most of his time landing fish, tying jigs and keeping the boat on the brush! Catching a quad limit in 4 hours should be a world record considering all he did to get it!
BTW, what is the lake record in flatheads?

Thanks guys, it's been a pleasure guiding lately. This morning was no exception, we started at 8:00 and had 81 keepers by noon. The only thing that mazes me is that more people aren't headed to cedar creek for a day on the water. The bite just doesn't get much better than it is right now. I'm not counting but it seems like for about 2 months now the crappie have just been on fire! Lots of limits taken and lots more to catch. Lane has some openings next week, y'all give us a ring. Lane will put you on some crappie and y'all will have a blast.
Yesterday was big cat day. We landed a 8,12,25, & a 62lb cat on our trip. We missed the record by 1 1/2 pounds according to the certified scale.
