I spent weeks building condos and brush this january. I started sinking it and got most of it out and even called one of the lake patrol guys to make sure it was ok and he came to the ramp and watched me load it and talked to me. The lake has a slick bottom in 90 percent of it so he said it's good for the fishing to do this. Then 2 weeks later, my brother was driving out and a lake patrolman stopped him and told him to never sink anything in the lake cause he will write him a ticket for illegal dumping. He said he talked to the other lake patrol guy we had been talking to and said they were on the same page regarding any more sinking. Lake patrolman #1 is a fisherman and lake patrolman #2 is not. I can't find any city ordinances that prohibit what we are doing but don't want a ticket. LP# 2 also said that if they have to drag for a drowning victim they will hang their grapple in the brush pile. I talked to the game warden and he said they don't drag anymore now that they have a humminbird and that lake patrol doesnt assist with body recovery anyway. I have a ton more sets I want to put out. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? How did you get around it if so?

LOL!!! Drag for a drowned victim......LP#2 is being a complete male reproductive organ! Im not sure on the illegal dumping charge but sounds feasable should he feel the need to pursue it. Not sure what lake you're doing this on but I would contact whoever the governing body of the lake is and talk to them about it.

OPPRESSION RUNS RAMPANT WHEN THE LAWS OF A STATE ARE GENERAL IN NATURE, AND CAN BE INTERPRETED TO SUIT THE VIEWS OF THE PERSON IN CHARGE OF ENFORCING THEM IN A PARTICULAR CIRCUMSTANCE. THATS WHY YOU CANT GET A STRAIGHT ANSWER, THEY DONT WANT TO SPECIFICALLY TELL YOU YOU CANT, BECAUSE IT WOULD BE OPPRESSION, SO THEY TELL YOU IT COULD BE ILLEGAL. (WHICH IS OPPRESSION).. YOU GET IT??? ITS THE SAME THING WITH THE MATTER OF CLEANING FISH , THEN THROWING THEM BACK INTO THE LAKE, SO THE CRAWFISHJ AND OTHER BUGS CAN EAT THEM, SOME PEOPLE LOOK AT IT AS DUMPING, OTHERS AS ADDING FOOD TO THE FOOD CHAIN. IS THERE A SPECIFIC LAW AGAINST IT? NO, BUT CAN THEY CITE YOU FOR IT? YES, IF THEY DECIDE TO.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Its the same way with gun laws, The second amendment is pretty clear, straightforward, and simple. Federal law, states we have the right to keep and bear arms. Yet state law says we need a permit to carry them on our person. THEN federal law ( us army corps of engineers), property, says you cant bring firearms into coprs of engineer parks,( clearly stated on signs as you go into the parks). Isnt it pretty ridiculous, the Federal law first says you have the right to own a firearm and carry it, state law saws yes but you need a permit, then you go on federal property and theres a sign saying no firearms.? is something wrong with that? Then,, if something ever happened to me, while on federal corps of engineer property, and I was hurt or crippled by an assailant, do you think they would take responsibility,? no they would say,.. well you had the right to defend yourself.

Does this mean your lake is city controlled?

Not sure if you are in Texas or not but on almost all COE lakes, you will be told they don't allow sinking of brush.

Not sure if you are in Texas or not but on almost all COE lakes, you will be told they don't allow sinking of brush. I will add to this that if you ask 10 different LEO's (Game Wardens, COE Law or whoever else is a LEO) that you will get close to 10 different answers about what is/isn't legal. BigDozer66
