Anyone have any suggestions for a summertime pattern for crappie in this lake? There is not alot of verticle structure in deep water that I know of this lake so where would you go for crappie on this lake this time of year? Not looking for anyones hot spot just a general direction to start looking if anyone knows this lake very well. I do have a boat.

Try the BP's on the fence North of Arkansas ramp. Also, the cove (with the cement break wall) NW of the Arkansas ramp.
Do you have a SONAR? Put some time in, deep water structure can be found.
Arlington has produced many nice slabs for me over the years(year round). Good luck.

Arlington Crappie are around 16 foot of water. They are running bigger this year. My 4 year old caught one that was 16'' and pushing 2.5 lbs. This was earlier in the year but they are usually pretty predicatable in that lake.

Yes, the BP's are under water. The only real danger of underwater hazard is NorthWest of the Bowman Springs ramp..North West of the ramp you will see the timber sticking up, and it gets REAL shallow this time of year South of there heading toward 20 bridge and the creeks (Village creek and AppleJack creek). From Arkansas ramp wide open to the dam is safe.

I'll most likely stay around the dam.. I know that's the deepest part of most lakes. Inns try it out, if in asking for a partner next week then u know what happened.. lol

So in other words, stay at the north end of th lake.. got it..

Are fish in LA good to eat? I grew up in Arlington, and always had the notion that it wasn't a good idea, but I really don't know why I thought that.

I read no reports on them being contaminated with anything. I had a fish fry of some slabs from there and I seem ok ok ok ok ok with just the occassional mental breakdown down down....JK they seem fine.

May have to take the kayak out there for a change. You have to pay to be on the lake though, right? Or is that just to use the boat ramps?
