The Plano Marine/Crappie Anglers of Texas 5th Annual Lake Livingston Crappie Spring Fling in conjunction with Experience Lake Livingston

• Lake: Lake Livingston, Trinity, TX (Texas State Crappie Championship Qualifier)
• Date/Time: February 19, 2011/7am-3pm
• Crappie Anglers of Texas Rules (see link below for complete tournament rules)
• Weigh seven fish (maximum)
• Must be in weigh-in line by 3:30pm

• Tournament participants and sponsors are treated to a FREE meal at Risin Sun Cowboy Church HWY 356 at 6pm sponsored and catered by Trinity Cafe. If you missed last year�s dinner, be sure to make it � the food is excellent!
• Late entries will be accepted at Friday night's dinner. Become a club member to fish this exciting and well-attended tournament. The fishing is promising to be good!
• Two Divisions � 100+% Payout
  • Division 1: $100 (per boat)
  • Division 2: $50 (per boat)
  • ProAngler Tackle $200 Cash Award Overall Largest Stringer*
  • Finny Tribe Big Fish Cash Award: $100 Div 1 & $50 Div 2
  • Paul O'Bier's North Texas Guide Service Junior Angler Program will award $25 to the junior angler in both divisions with the heaviest team stringer; all jr. angler participants will receive a gift bag donated by Wes Belcher and friends

It was announced at CAT's Texas Motorcars Extravaganza there will be a drawing for $500 cash. Each team having fished and went thru the weigh-in will be given one token/ticket. So if there are 40 boats in total (both divisions) then it is a 1 in 40 chance to win. Separate checks will be cut for $250. The TEAM must be present to win. Drawing will occur after final weigh-in and presenting of all other awards and prizes - good luck!

Ready for the new year to start miss the good times.

Team Crappie Guy will be participating in most (if not all) of the CAT tournaments this year, having two teams represented in Div 1 and one team represented in Div 2. We look forward to the fun and competation. Here's hoping that 2011 will be the best year for CAT yet!!

I will most likely fish the ones closer to home this year. Can't wait!

Maybe not what y'all are wanting to hear but here's a report.....
Until this week, I haven't fished Livingston since New Years day, been doing too good on Conroe and just couldn't quit going there. I can't pre-fish next Friday and haven't been hearing of anything going on at all, let alone any good reports, so I figured I'd better get up there and start looking this week. This evening made the 3rd time I've came home from Livingston this week with no fish. Granted, the weather hasn't been good but I was catching crappie on Conroe in nasty cold weather. I've decided the difference is that one lake has good water color, and the other, well, let's just say I can't catch crappie in cold mud.
Was planning on going tomorrow and Sunday but broke my front transducer today when I hit a stump with the TM, so I'm taking the day off from fishin tomorrow and go get a new one.
Maybe this warm weather they're talking about next week will turn em around.
Hate to sound so pessimistic guys but right now I'm not really looking forward to the 19th.....

Two great CAT weekends back to back! As Chevy Chase once said, "we're gonna have so much fun it will take a plastic surgeon to get the smile off our face"

Come on out guys! You don't want to miss a chance to get qualified for the 2011 TSCC to be held on lake Belton in September.

Hopefully the weather will be nice enough we can get a lot of Jr. Angler participation.
