Roll out of bed and jetted down to Lake Tawakoni to fish the sticks and stumps to see if the fall fish were loading up in the trees. Found some nice fish but not the wash tubs that I was scouting for. I took a few photos depicting how the day transpired which wasn't too bad. I tell you what, I bet I can make the grease stink.

Hey! I still like my Pro Angler 8ft rod

JD, Where's that good looking son of yours. Had he been there you would have more than doubled the catch. LOL

Funny that you say that because JMac said the exact same thing when he looked in the cooler. Ole Brotha!

I was in about 20' to 22' feet of water and the hits were 13 to 16 ft down. I also found some big brush piles I would swim the jig slowly over.

When doing that, were you using a 1/16oz jig or a 1/8oz jig?

nice job jd

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

JD, You did the dang thing! Tawakoni has some of the nicest slabs in the state! You didn't have to show off by showing that Pro-Angler bent down like that!!!
