Hey gang,
My family is spending a few days at Tyler SP next week for spring break. We like to fish, and like to eat them, not too picky on the species but it'd be fun to put my kids on some active bass catching. We'll be limited to bank and pier fishing, and can go for bass, catfish, even the trout if they're still alive, sunfish of course, and crappie if there's a good place for them.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Yes, Brazos is my real name.

What little Ive heard, trout are still being caught. Mostly the mood should be pre or early spawn, so except for the trout, bank fishing might be challenging. Good luck.

Rent you a paddle boat or canoe.

I can loan you an old beater semi-v that leaks a little if you come pick it up.

No trailer for it though.

God loves you just as much as anybody else!!

Jesus offered His life as a gift for you. Please accept it!

Been there one time. I camped out there to be near enough to Old Sabine River bottoms WMA for archery hunting. I fished during the daytime and set throw lines out at night. Pretty good catfishing I thought. Caught a bunch. I also caught some pretty big perch. That said that park has a large Gypsy band of monster raccoons running amok! I had to use tie down straps to keep them out of my coolers. The first night I was there they robbed me bad, had to go into town to ressupply.
