Going to post a report but after reading about Dutch, this doesn't seem very important right now.

Went out this morning where I last caught a limit of crappie about two weeks ago. Didn't see many shad in the area. Dropped a couple lines and had three keeps in about 10 minutes. Then another 15 minutes before a dink. 2.5 hours later and after covering a lot of water, no bites. Water temp was 49.5. Last time I was there it was 59. I fished from 26 to 48 FOW and nothing. Most shad were located 40-48 FOW holding about 35 feet deep. After this next blast of global warming comes thru, I'm guessing the water temp to be about 45 or less. I haven't seen the surface temp below 50 in several yrs in central TX. This is going to be a whole new ball game.

It's been a few years on Pines since the water has hit the mid 40s, but when it does the boat show will begin.

Do have a nice long bridge but the water is not deep enough for winter crappie.

Tried again this morning; 1 crappie, 1 blue cat. Found what looks like a promising area for drifting for blue cats. Next time out, I'll probably have the center console and the cat fish rods. But that won't be for a few days. Will most likely keep a fire in the wood burning stove the next few days and settle in for some bowl games. Y'all stay warm.

Just got an Electric Blanket for Christmas and let me tell you...man what an awesome purchase!

We have the Fireplace going and at night that Electric Blanket is just absolutely amazing.

Curled up spending family time and watching plenty of movies and TV.

Thankful for what we have and to be living in the United States.

I will venture out to find the relocated Crappie after Dad gets back to 100%.

For know staying inside is a great plan.
