After a little over a year of owing a boat and doing a lot of bass fishing,I want to get back into doing some crappie fishing and am looking for some help on where to go (preferably) somewhere around Ft. Worth and what baits to be using this type of year, i.e. Minnows, jigs, etc. thanks for any help or advice you can give me

No expert here but you might want to do a search on this forum for benbrook reports if you want to stay close to home. As a bass fisherman, you know how to find cover Find the cover, use light tackle, try jigs first, fish vertical directly over the cover, and plan on losing a few jigs Great jig producers and hook makers on this forum who will set you up with better products at prices often better than the big box stores After your addiction sets in... Try fork, cedar creek and Palestine. No crappie left at tawakoni...
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
