Hey everyone. I am thinking of hitting a few creeks, what should i be looking for? Like water depth; deep, shallow, middle, or close to bank. Thanks for the information!!

When they are loaded in there, everything you mentioned.

Keep moving and trying different things until you get on them. Good luck.

Dropoffs, bends, and cover.

I would rather die finding out there was no God than die finding out there is.

I start with laydowns and visible structure...then work my way into the deeper bends. Most of the crappie I catch in the creeks during this time are in less than 5' of water.

Are y'all looking for deep creeks or just creeks with water? The creeks i fish in the spring are not deep. Bit have lots of cover.

Both...not all creeks are created equal. Some creeks I have fished never seem to have crappie in the winter, and then others always have them in there if the water level has been high enough for them to follow the shad in there wink
