I've caught some big crappie on big baits while largemouth and sand bass fishing. 4 inch swimbaits, 3-4 inch flukes, 3 inch grubs... What's your favorite big baits specific to crappie? Only crappie jig I know of that is 3 inches or bigger is the Bobby Garland Slay'R.

Eric

Ive had good luck on YUM WOOLEY BEAVERTAILS.
They have a pumpkinseed/chartruese. a black/ pink and plenty other. the end of the tail is like a beaver, you can split it too, for more fluttering. if the body is a little long you can cut the top some and make a shorter profile.
You can often find them in the bargain box at wallmart. (the one on the bottom shelf of the main fishing racks).

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

X3 on the Thermocline magnum series.
I also have confidence in taking a 4.5" Down South (saltwater) bait and trimming about an inch off of the head or using another saltwater bait Chicken Boy Bubba Clucker (3").

I like the Lip Ripper Baits. Very durable (without feeling hard), great vibrant colors and scented but don't leak oil all over your tackle boxes.

They are the ones on the left.

Bigger profile but not so humongous like some.
